Frito-Lay, the snacking division of PepsiCo, has announced the investment of $200 million to expand its production facility in Perry, Georgia.
With more than 1,000 employees, this production facility is the largest factory of the company operating in the US.
According to the sources, the investment will add two production lines to the factory, creating 120 new jobs. A strategic space will be also created, for a future manufacturing line and a warehouse building.
Callum Bissett, senior site director, said: “For more than 30 years, the Frito-Lay Perry site has been a proud member of the Houston County community and a key contributor to the Georgia economy”. He added, “We appreciate the support and vision of state and local officials – including the team at the Development Authority of Houston County – who have been instrumental to our continued growth”.
