Canadian energy drink company Guru Energy is to launch Organic Lite, a new version of its namesake energy drink that is said to be sweetened with monk fruit.
Organic Lite is described as being infused with green tea, echinacea, ginseng, guarana, stevia and lemon juice. It contains 20 calories and is claimed to be organically certified, as well as gluten free and vegan.
“We are proud to offer Canadian consumers certified organic products for health and energy that are low in calories and free of artificial sweeteners”, commented Carl Goyette, Guru Energy vice-president of sales and marketing. “Organic Lite was a challenge for us because we wanted to remain faithful to the taste of the original product. We are thrilled to introduce monk fruit, a natural sweetener with remarkable benefits”.
