Global beverage giant AB InBev has announced the acquisition of leading organic drink maker Hiball Energy, which produces energy drinks under the Hiball Energy brand and sparkling juices and sparkling waters under the Alta Palla brand.
The acquisition, which will expand AB InBev’s presence in the non-alcoholic drinks sector, is aimed at supporting Hiball Energy and its brands through brand-building experience, access to a wholesaler network and operational expertise.
Hiball’s energy drinks and sparkling energy waters are described as being made with “a proprietary, organic-certified energy blend, consisting of caffeine, guarana, and ginseng”.
Joao Castro Neves, president and CEO of AB InBev group company Anheuser-Busch, said: “There are some key similarities between our companies including our desire to dream big, our passion for our people and our products, and our commitment to quality and sustainability in everything we do. Our goal is to deliver Hiball products to new markets, while preserving their culture and brand identities. Hiball’s motto is ‘It’s all good,’ and we couldn’t agree more”.
