UScereal firm Guenther & Son has acquired frozen meal and snack company Les Plats Du Chef . Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Based in Montreal, Les Plats Du Chef operates two facilities in Montreal and Toronto. It produces soups, dips, empanadas, oatmeal and other foods under the Cuisine Adventures brand name. It also manufactures private label products and supp the food service industry under the Thyme & Truffles brand.

Founded in 1851, Guenther & Son produces food products for retail and food service customers and consumers. Following this lastest acquisition, Guenther will operate 10 facilities in the USA, 6 in Canada, 2 in the United Kingdom and 1 in Belgium.
