Winland Foods, the USA-based pasta and sauce manufacturer, has announced an investment of $34.5 million to expand its manufacturing facility in St. Louis (MO). The project is focused on increasing the company’s production capacity for its jumbo shell pasta line.
According to the Missouri Department of Economic Development, the expansion is expected to create 28 new jobs. Winland Foods was established in 2022 following the acquisition of a portion of TreeHouse Foods’ meal-preparation business by private-equity firm Investindustrial.
Winland Foods CEO Eric Beringause stated: “Winland Foods is proud to continue its investment in the City of St. Louis. This project will allow us to better serve our customers by increasing production capacity for our jumbo shell products while supporting the local economy”.
The investment will involve the installation of new machinery and equipment to support the increased output. The company currently produces a range of private label and branded pasta products across its various sites.
