Juanita’s Foods, the US Mexican-style food manufacturer, has acquired a 120,000 sq ft manufacturing plant in Santa Fe Springs, California. The purchase establishes a long-term production home for the company to support continued growth and meet demand for authentic Mexican foods across national retail and foodservice channels.
The site will become the primary manufacturing facility for Juanita’s Foods, consolidating production from its Wilmington (CA) plant into a single operation following a “carefully planned” transition. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Juanita’s Foods CEO Robert Rosales commented: “For 80 years, Juanita’s has been made in Southern California, and this investment keeps it that way. Santa Fe Springs gives us the capacity, capabilities and room to grow that our brand needs for its next chapter”.
Pedro Palma, managing partner of Juanita’s Foods owner Apex Capital, added: “Securing a permanent manufacturing home in Southern California is an important investment in the company’s future, its employees and the customers it serves”.
