Anheuser-Busch, the US beverage manufacturer and AB InBev subsidiary, has announced a $13 million investment in its Baldwinsville facility in New York.
According to the company, the investment is designed to meet growing consumer demand for Michelob Ultra, described as the top-selling and fastest-growing beer in the USA, and add new production capabilities for Cutwater, its spirits-based cocktail brand, while upgrading bottle and can lines. As part of the expansion, Anheuser-Busch will open a new technical skills training centre inside the brewery — one of 15 planned nationwide — to upskill employees across mechanical, electrical, digital and operational areas. The centre builds on existing training initiatives developed alongside the Manufacturers Association of Central New York.
The funding forms part of the brewer’s broader Brewing Futures initiative, which entails a $600 million investment across its US operations during 2025 and 2026.
Brendan Whitworth, CEO of Anheuser-Busch, commented: “Anheuser-Busch is committed to supporting the communities where our employees live and work. Investments in facilities like our Baldwinsville Brewery help us strengthen our operations while creating and sustaining jobs and continuing to drive economic growth throughout Central New York State. We’re proud to continue investing in American manufacturing and in the hardworking New Yorkers who help to produce America’s most iconic beer and spirits brands every day”.
