Sazerac, the US-based spirits company, has signed a binding agreement to acquire UK vodka and ready-to-drink (RTD) brand Au Vodka.
The transaction remains subject to standard completion conditions and is expected to close within the coming weeks. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Commenting on the deal. a Sazerac spokesperson stated: “Sazerac works continuously to grow its business by investing in brands and building out its portfolio globally to connect with consumers. The United Kingdom is an important market for Sazerac, and this opportunity enables the company to deepen its presence in the UK”.
Founded in Swansea, Wales, in 2015 by Charlie Morgan and Jackson Quinn, Au Vodka employs over 80 people. Known for its gold bottles, the brand produces a flagship vodka, 11 flavoured varieties, and 330ml pre-mixed canned cocktails at 5% abv. In 2025, UK off-trade sales of the brand’s canned cocktails reached £61 million ($81.6 million), up 36.9% year on year, making it the number one RTD brand in the UK.
Au Vodka will join Sazerac’s portfolio alongside brands including Buffalo Trace, Buzzballz and Svedka Vodka.
