Evelyn Health, a UK-based women’s health startup, has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of The PMS Bar, a functional snack designed to alleviate premenstrual symptoms.
Marketed as the first snack bar specifically formulated for the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle, the hormone-free product aims to address mood changes, cravings and fatigue. According to the company, the bar is intended to counteract physiological shifts, such as drops in serotonin, that typically occur before menstruation. The formulation includes 11 active ingredients such as complex carbohydrates, prebiotic fibre, L-tryptophan, magnesium and vitamin B6.
The range is available in three flavours: Dark Chocolate Brownie, Salted Peanut Butter, and Lemon & Poppyseed. On the company’s website, the bars are priced from approximately £24 ($30) for a monthly supply.
Dr Anna Cantlay, head of medical at Evelyn Health, commented: “The luteal phase brings real, measurable shifts – from changes in serotonin to increased nutrient needs. Phase-specific nutritional support can make a meaningful difference when it’s practical and evidence-informed”.
Evelyn Health co-founder Bonnie Hatcher added: “The PMS Bar is about making science-led care practical – something women can reach for at the exact moment symptoms hit”.
The launch follows Evelyn’s existing line of cycle-support products, which includes its Rhythm, Restore, and Revive supplements designed to target hormonal metabolism and inflammation.
