De Smaakspecialist, the Dutch organic food company, has expanded its portfolio by acquiring local organic brands Joannusmolen and IDorganics.
According to RetailDetail, the acquisition represents a strategic consolidation in the organic sector. Joannusmolen, a Netherlands-based brand acquired from Merenda Foods, specializes in organic and gluten-free flours, porridges, and baking products, while IDorganics handles production and distribution.
The move is expected to strengthen De Smaakspecialist’s position in the natural foods market, adding established product lines to its existing brand portfolio, which includes BioToday. Moving forward, the acquired brands will continue to operate independently, with IDorganics handling distribution responsibilities.
