Strauss Group, a food and beverage manufacturer, has announced the launch of CowFree, a new brand range containing animal-free beta-lactoglobulin (BLG) protein that mirrors the properties of cow’s milk protein.
The product range includes a milk drink analogue under the name Yotvata, and a cream cheese under the name Symphony. The products are described as being are fortified with calcium and complete protein, including all essential amino acids.
Commenting on the launch, Strauss Dairies GM Ariella Schiffenbauer Weiss said: “The launch of CowFree marks another stage in the evolution of our dairy operations, as part of our vision to listen to our consumers and provide them with a wide variety of choices for every need and every occasion. The first CowFree range will launch in shops across Israel within the next few weeks.
