TCB Gruppe, the German beverage group, has announced plans to acquire the Wolters brand family and related assets, with intentions to continue the traditional Brunswick beer brand within the corporate group.
Volksbank Brawo, the owner of essential assets, along with Hofbrauhaus Wolters and TCB Gruppe, collaborated on the solution, though the implementation remains subject to final agreements and required approvals. The original recipe of Wolters beers is set to be preserved, with production and bottling organized within TCB Gruppe to establish a sustainable economic and technical basis.
While the supply of Wolters beers will continue without interruption, the current production structure at the old brewery site is planned to be created on 31st December 2026 within the insolvency proceedings. TCB intends to create up to 40 new employment offers across various group locations, while regional sponsorships, such as with Eintracht Braunschweig, are scheduled to be maintained.
