Arvos, the global table olive producer, has acquired Pere Olive, a Belgian chilled Mediterranean foods specialist, from the French group Labeyrie Fine Foods.
According to Arvos, the transaction will add chilled product capabilities to its existing table olive operations, strengthening its position in the European retail market, particularly in France and Belgium. Pere Olive, founded in 1993, operates a chilled production facility in Andenne, Belgium, and focuses on the production of table olives, antipasti and dips.
The acquisition is intended to connect this Belgian facility with Arvos’s direct olive sourcing and production networks in Spain and Greece, providing greater scale and category expertise across both branded and private label lines, the company said.
Arvos CEO Francisco Escalante commented: “By combining ambient and chilled capabilities, the acquisition brings greater consistency, flexibility and depth for retailers. Pere Olive strengthens our offering across table olives, antipasti and dips, while helping structure and grow the apero category”.
The company stated that Pere Olive will continue to collaborate with Labeyrie Fine Foods in Europe under existing commercial arrangements.
