Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF), the Thai food group, is expanding into bottled water through its subsidiary CPF Food and Beverage Company Limited (CPFFB) by acquiring a 51% stake in local producer Brew Factory Company for 334.7 million THB ($10.14 million).
In a filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand, CPF stated that the deal was “in line with the CPF Group’s business direction to expand its investments into the bottled water business, which is complementary to its core business and has strong growth potential”.
The transaction is structured in two stages. On 1st September , CPFFB acquired a 43.6% stake in Brew Factory for 235.3 million THB ($7.13 million). Within 30 days, Brew Factory will carry out a capital increase, with CPFFB subscribing to 184,400 new shares for a further 99.4 million THB ($3.01 million).
Established in December 2025, Brew Factory operates a facility in Surin Province with an annual capacity of 295 million litres, generating revenue from contract manufacturing and its own Sabai brand. For the five months to 31st May 2026, the firm reported revenue of 210 million THB ($6.36 million), net profit of 15 million THB ($0.45 million) and total assets of 791 million THB ($23.96 million).
The move follows CPF’s August acquisition of a 76.6% stake in Vietnamese beverage producer Les Vergers Du Mekong Joint Stock Company.
