Heritage Foods, the India-based dairy company, has officially announced the inauguration of a new greenfield ice cream manufacturing plant in Shamirpet, near Hyderabad, Telangana.
The new facility represents a significant expansion for the company’s value-added dairy portfolio. According to reports from Indian Retailer and Devdiscourse, the newly launched plant has an installed annual production capacity of 24 million litres, with modern infrastructure prepared to support future capacity scaling as market demand evolves. The project involved a capital investment of 204 crore INR ($24.50 million).
Executive director Brahmani Nari stated that the unit incorporates cutting-edge engineering solutions to meet hygiene, sustainability and efficiency targets, driving long-term category growth to increase the brand’s national footprint in the ice cream sector.
