Kerry Dairy Ireland, the Irish dairy business behind brands such as Cheestrings and Smug Dairy, has officially rebranded as Kinisla and launched a €300 million ($326 million) five-year investment programme.
The transition follows a landmark year where the business began transitioning to a fully farmer-owned co-operative model. According to a company statement, the name Kinisla draws inspiration from kinship and island identity, reflecting its heritage. The upcoming capital strategy will be deployed across its Consumer Foods and Nutritional Ingredients business divisions to scale up manufacturing innovation, support its Evolve RegenDairy sustainability framework, and create more than 100 new roles.
Commenting on the milestone, Chris Roberts, Managing Director of Consumer Foods at Kinisla, stated: “Today is a hugely exciting day for us, one that marks an important milestone for the business as we reveal our new corporate identity that reflects our heritage and our bold ambitions for the future. It signals our commitment to putting people back at the heart of the business: the dairy farmers who supply our grass-fed milk and the consumers who buy our brands.”
