Swiss chocolatier Lindt & Sprungli has unveiled a limited-edition Tokyo Style Chocolate Matcha Strawberry bar availble at its flagship Piccadilly store in London.

The new bar is described as combining ceremonial-grade Chamei Minami matcha, crispy Genmai roasted rice, Swiss white chocolate, and strawberry pieces – a homage to traditional Japanese tea ceremony ingredients, according to Lindt.

Only 200 bars will be released, each individually hand-numbered and priced at £15 ($20) for a 100 g bar. Purchases are limited to one per customer.

Bars are also being shown for sale on the company’s German website.

Stefan Bruderer, Master Chocolatier at Lindt & Sprungli, commented: “After seeing the reaction to our Lindt Dubai Style Chocolate over the past year, we’re excited to continue our culinary journey, this time to Japan, and launch a new innovation that combines the finest Swiss chocolate craftsmanship with the secrets of traditional tea ceremonies using Japanese matcha.”
