FMCG giant Nestle has announced the launch of a cold brew coffee line under its coffee creamer brand Coffee-Mate.
Coffee-Mate Natural Bliss cold brew coffee is said to be designed to bring the premium coffee shop experience to the consumer’s home or work.
According to the manufacturer, the product is made with natural high quality and recognisable ingredients, containing 100% Arabica beans that are slowly steeped in cool water for 12 hours for a smooth but not bitter taste.
Commenting on the launch, Avantika Chakravorty, manager of marketing for ready-to-drink coffee at Nestle said: “Cold brew consumption has risen 80 percent in the last year and we saw a great opportunity to expand our product portfolio into the ready-to-drink space to further meet consumer demands and lifestyles”.
Two flavour variants have been launched – Sweet Cream and Mocha – both claimed to be made with natural, non GMO, kosher and gluten free ingredients with milk sourced from California cows.
The drinks will be available from June in major retailers throughout the USA in 46oz bottles, with a retail price of $5.29.
