Leading food firms Nestle and Hostess Brands are teaming up for the launch of new ice cream products based on well-known Hostess brand names, according to a report in CSP Daily News.
The new product line is said to include a range of 1 pint take-home ice cream tubs, set to hit retailers between February and May. Of the new launches, CupCakes Ice Cream is reportedly a chocolate flavour product featuring cake pieces and a cream frosting swirl, while Twinkies Ice Cream is described as sweet buttercream-flavored ice cream with sponge cake pieces and a vanilla frosting swirl. Meanwhile Sno Balls Ice Cream is described as a marshmallow-flavored ice cream with chocolate cake pieces and a whipped coconut swirl.
The new range is the latest venture for Hostess Brands in the frozen space, following the launch of deep-fried Twinkies as a frozen product in 2015.
