Morinaga Nutritional Foods, a US-based manufacturer of soya and dairy products, has announced the acquisition of the Tofurky and Moocho plant-based brands in the US.
In a statement, Morinaga Nutritional Foods said it would use the acquisition to strengthen its presence in the plant-based sector and boost new product development.
Founded in 1980, Tofurky is a leading manufacturer of plant-based meats, while sister company Moocho produces dairy-free cheeses that are claimed to be made from simple, modern ingredients.
