Cheese producer Maytag Dairy Farms has been sold to AgCertain Industries, which is owned by private equity firm Midwest Growth Partners since 2019.
Maytag Dairy Farms was founded in 1941 and sells and supplies jam, honey, popcorn, blue cheese, cheddar, and cheese spreads to retailers and foodservice businesses as well as selling products online.
AgCertain Industries belongs to Midwest Growth Partners and produces private-label cooking oils and refined glycerine.
John Mickelson, a managing partner of West Des Moines, Iowa-based Midwest Growth Partners said: “The combination of these two companies supports continuing success and spurs greater potential for growth across AgCertain’s growing set of brands, products and services”.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
