Johnson & Johnson, the leading healthcare firm, has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire the natural medicine and supplements business Zarbee’s for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2008, Zarbee’s is the owner of the Zarbee’s Naturals brand of healthacare products for adults and children, including throat lozenges, cough medicine, vitamins and immunity support supplements.
Commenting on the deal, Katie Devine, global president, OTC Franchise, Johnson & Johnson Consumer, said: “Zarbee’s is a values-driven company that was founded on and has achieved significant growth by meeting the evolving health needs of today’s families. As a global OTC leader, Johnson & Johnson Consumer shares in this vision and is committed to providing innovative healthcare solutions that satisfy the preferences of consumers”.
The acquisition is expected to be completed in Q3 2018, subject to customary closing conditions.
