John Soules Foods, a manufacturer of processed meat products, has announced that it is to expand its production capability with the opening of its third manufacturing plant, based in Valley, AL, USA.
The 266,000 sq ft facility will be built over three phases, the company said in a statement. In total 510 employees are expected to join the business and a total of $110 million is set to be invested.
When all phases are complete, John Soules Foods said its fully cooked capabilities would increase by over 100 million lb annually.
Commmenting on the move, Mark Soules, co-chief executive officer of John Soules Foods said: “This is an important and exciting expansion for John Soules Foods. With the additional manufacturing capabilities, we are creating a position to handle the growing needs of our customers that allow us to be more responsive across the Grocery and Foodservice markets”.
Established in 1975, John Soules Foods is described as the leading manufacturer and marketer of ready-to-cook and fully-cooked beef and chicken products, as well as fully cooked breaded chicken, in the USA.
