Multinational Mexican bakery Grupo Bimbo has announced an investment of $630 million to build two new facilities in Georgia and Ohio in the USA.
The facility in Georgia, which will be the second plant of Grupo Bimbo in the city, will cost around $200 million creating nearly 300 new jobs, while the facility in Ohio will cost around $431 million generating over 320 jobs.
Grupo Bimbo is a manufacturer of bakery products such as buns, cookies, snacks cakes and bagels among others. The bakery giant has more than 200 plants and more than 1,700 sales centres distributed across 33 countries.
It was not disclosed the kind of products that would be made at the new Ohio and Georgia outlets.
