Global sweet-packaged foods firm Ferrero Group has announced that the company broke ground on its new facility in Bloomington, Illinois.
The new Kinder Bueno facility represented an investment of $214.4 million and it will create 200 new jobs, according to the company’s press release.
Alanna Cotton, president and chief business officer of Ferrero North America said: “This investment will fuel our momentum in North America, a strategic growth area for Ferrero. Enhancing our manufacturing capabilities in the market is key to driving our innovation agenda and advancing Ferrero’s goal of becoming a world leader in snacks and confectionery”.
The new plant will expand Ferrero’s manufacturing campus in Bloomington by adding 169,000 sq. ft and is expected to open in 2024.
