Dr. Schär USA has announced the expansion of its manufacturing facility in Logan Township on 42,000 square foot to meet the increasing demand for gluten-free bread.
The Logan Township, New Jersey facility produces gluten-free sliced breads and rolls for the North American market.
Founded in Italy, Dr. Schär is a producer of gluten-free food to celiac, gluten sensitive, and IBS communities, offering a wide portfolio of products from bread, cookies, candy, and crackers to frozen products such as puff pastry dough.
“As we have expanded the US business over the past 9 years, we have surpassed the manufacturing capabilities of our current manufacturing facility. This plant expansion will be critical for continuing to grow our operations in the US and offer better quality and service to our consumers,” said Margot Gunther, Marketing Director of Dr. Schär USA.
The expansion is scheduled to be completed in 2022.
