Israeli-based food tech company DouxMatok has partnered with Blommer Chocolate to produce and sell a portfolio of chocolate products made with significantly less sugar content.
DouxMatok offers sugar-based sugar-reduction solutions in response to consumers’ clear preference for taste and growing demand for healthier foods. The company produces Incredo Sugar, a product made from real cane or beet sugar, which allows for up to 50% sugar reduction by enhancing the perception of sweetness.
The first product from this partnership will be a chocolate-flavoured chip made with Incredo Sugar.
“We’ve been working to provide a reduced-sugar chocolate offering for a long time, and when we began working with Incredo® Sugar, we knew it would be successful,” said David Meggs, Chief Operating Officer at Blommer Chocolate Company. “Until now, we’ve only been able to offer full sugar or zero sugar products, without a sufficient offering for sugar-reduced chocolate that meets our high taste and sweetness expectations. We’re confident that our collaboration with DouxMatok is going to advance the space and we’re excited to introduce these new offerings to our network of customers.”
