Clif Bar, a California, US based cereal bar firm, has opened a new 300,000 sq-ft bakery facility at a cost of $90 million, according to an article in Snack & Bakery.
Located in Twin Falls, Idaho, the factory is said to have been built to meet increased demand for the company’s Clif branded bars. The new facility is said to habe been built with company values in mind, featuring lower emissions and the powered of renewable energy.
Speaking to Bakery & Snacks, Clif Bar’s executive vice president of food supply Mike McLaughlin said: “We built the new bakery to meet the growing demand for our organic energy and nutrition bars. The new bakery provides us with the space to continue brining innovative new food to market with a low environmental footprint”.
Founded in 1992, Clif Bar is a US-based specialist in nutrition bars. Its product range includes trail mix bars, protein bars, recovery drinks and energy supplements.
