Albertsons, the US grocery retailer, has announced the opening of a new store concept called Market Street Idaho, to be launched in two locations in the Boise, ID area.
According to the company, the new banner will introduce a unique shopping and culinary experience for foodies, inviting customers to “Eat Life Up”.
Susan Morris, EVP and chief operations officer of Albertsons Companies, said: “Market Street Idaho was created by a team of passionate, innovative food lovers with the goal of igniting Idaho’s passion for great food and elevated experiences”.
Besides traditional grocery items, the new concept is designed to “encourage customers to hone their inner chef”, focusing on local, fresh, natural, organic and specialty products as well as providing in-store culinary events and classes, a food court, a beer and wine bar and a concierge for catering and event services.
The first Market Street Idaho is set to open early this summer on Broadway Avenue in Boise, with a second store planned for later this year in the Meridian area of the city.
