US convenience chain 7-Eleven has entered the single serving coffee category with the release of three varieties of store branded coffee pods.
The varieties 100% Colombian, Pumpkin Spice and Exclusive Blend are now available in packs of eight pods, retailed at $3.99. The latter two flavour varieties are also available in packs of two pods retailed at $0.99.
Dennis Phelps, VP for fresh foods and proprietary beverages at 7-Eleven, said in a statement: “Brew cups are the ultimate in convenience for home-brewed coffee, and convenience is the core of 7-Eleven. […] Convenience wasn’t the only goal when we developed our new brew cups. We wanted to make sure we offered the same delicious coffee available in our stores at a great value”.
All the varieties are said to be made from 100% Arabica beans, sourced and roasted to ensure the same great flavour consumers enjoy in stores, the company said.
