Coca-Cola Consolidated, the leading independent US Coca-Cola bottler, has announced it has invested $90 million to expand its facility in Columbus (OH), significantly enhancing operations and workforce capacity.
The upgraded warehouse will process over 16 million cases of product annually, supported by a semi-automated Vertique system that improves efficiency and working conditions. The expansion has created 35 jobs and will allow distribution across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. In addition, the company has invested in sustainability initiatives such as LED lighting, EV charging infrastructure and enhanced recycling systems.
Commenting on the upgrade, Coca-Cola Consolidated VP, Mid-West Market Unit Sam Meiner said: “The investment we’ve made here in Columbus is evidence of our focus on growth in Columbus. This commitment to our teammates and production capabilities is a long-term dedication to improving how we serve the world’s best brands and flavours to our communities and the people of Ohio”.
