Weetabix has released a new protein-enriched cereal range in the UK that is claimed to “give[] you the energy you need for busy mornings”.
“Aimed at those who lead healthy and active lives, Weetabix Protein Crunch is high in protein and has all the goodness you’d expect of a Weetabix cereal; high in fibre, low in salt and fortified with Iron and Vitamin D, with an added crunchy texture”, the company says in a statement.
“We know protein is fast becoming a mainstream trend in the UK, with consumers actively seeking to increase protein in their diet”, commented Caroline La Niece, Weetabix brand manager. “Weetabix Protein Crunch was developed to make it simpler for consumers to get a tasty, nutritious breakfast that helps keep families going throughout the morning”.
Weetabix Protein Crunch and Weetabix Protein Crunch Chocolate are being made available in June with an RRP of £2.99 ($4.70).
