UK: Unilever launces Knorr dried meal mixes

Unilever, the FMCG multinational, is broadening its Knorr portfolio in the UK with the launch of dried meal kits under the name Naturally Tasty!, according to a report in Talking Retail.

Promoted as “full of natural ingredients”, Knorr Naturally Tasty! Dried Meal Kits are said to be free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Packs provide a “shopping list” of ingredients that consumers need to buy to prepare the complete meal.

The line is reportedly designed with the mid-week meal occasion in mind and comes in the varieties Moroccan Chicken, Spaghetti Bolognese, Lasagne, Tuna Napolitana, Beef Tagine and Chilli Con Carne. Each pack is sufficient for four servings and retails at £0.89 ($1.16).

Knorr and Bovril UK & Ireland marketing manager Vanni Cataldi added that the pack design was intended to give the products the feel of a “food market”.
