UK: SHS Group to acquire 3V Group

SHS Group, a firm representing leading FMCG brands in Ireland and UK, has settled a deal to purchase 3V Group, the owner of Meridian Foods and soft drink producer Rocks, for an undisclosed amount.

Meridian Foods is one of the UK’s leading nut butter producers, manufacturing products such as almond butter, cashew butter and sunflower seed butter. The company also provides fruit spreads and nut-based snack bars.

Rocks, meanwhile, is a leading producer of organic cordials in the UK.

SHS Group CEO Elaine Birchall said: “The acquisition of Meridian and Rocks strengthens our owned-brand portfolio and manufacturing capability as we continue to invest in bringing high-quality brands to a wide range of channels and geographies. We are delighted to have acquired this dynamic business and look forward to working with the management team in driving growth in established and new markets”.
