Natural and organic products manufacturer Hain Daniels, part of the Hain Celestial group, has announced the launch of a new jam brand in the UK.
William’s British Conserves are described as being made from 100% British-grown fruit and will be packaged in an embossed 340g jar complete with a sleeve detailing the brand’s history, with the aim of securing share in the premium jam category.
Described as having a home-cooked style fruity flavour, William’s British Conserves will be available across major retailers at a price of £2.80 ($3.70) in four options: Strawberry, Raspberry, Blackcurrant and Berries.
Hain Daniels also markets the jam brands Hartley’s, Frank Cooper’s, Robertson’s and Rose’s.
Commenting on the launch, Hain Daniels UK grocery marketing director Ruth Snowdon Gough said: “Premium brands are driving growth for jams and spreads and we’re seeing that consumers are willing to spend more on products that are unique or special”.
