French food and drinks multinational Danone is introducing its new Light & Free range of yoghurt, aiming to appeal to young women with a combination of bold pack design and multiple health claims.
Broadly comparable to the Dannon Light & Fit range of low-calorie yoghurts on sale in the US, Danone Light & Free will join the existing Oykos and Danio brands in the UK to expand the company’s offer in the growing greek style yoghurt segment.
Danone’s senior brand manager Aloys de Parscau commented: “We are excited to bring this category-driving innovation to market. It took us two years to create the perfect recipe and packaging and we are extremely proud of it”.
Described as free from fat and added sugar, the new range will be available from the 18th April across the UK, in a choice of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, peach and blueberry flavours, for an RRP of £2.49 ($3.53).
