Multinational beverage company Coca-Cola has announced the launch off Schweppes 1783, a line of “premium” mixers claimed to have been developed in partnership with some of the world’s “top mixologists”.
According to Coca-Cola, the new range was “inspired by the alchemy of Jacob Schweppe in 1783” and “combines the effervescence and balanced taste of Schweppes with all-natural ingredients – as well as brand new, unique flavours that have been developed to be paired with the finest white and dark spirits”.
Commenting on the launch, Schweppes drinks expert Tony Conigliaro said: “It’s Schweppes’ long-lasting bubbles that set it apart from other mixers, and ensures it’s the perfect engine to carry the taste, flavour, and aroma of the spirit it is mixed with. Whilst the UK’s gin trend shows no sign of slowing down, the brand’s new 1783 range responds to the growing popularity of alternative spirits, like whisky, rum, and tequila – with some really exciting new flavours to take your cocktails to the next level”.
The new range includes a Ginger Ale as well as a Tonic Water in the varieties Cucumber, Salty Lemon, Crisp, Light and Floral.
The products are available in 200ml and 600ml glass bottles and are being distributed in both on-trade and off-trade channels.
