In support of the Movember Foundation which raises awareness of men’s health issues, brewer Carlsberg is launching Beer’d Beauty, a new beer-based series of shaving products for men.
An extension to the firm’s first line of beer-infused male grooming products (shampoos and skin lotion) unveiled earlier in the year, the 200ml shaving collection is composed of a shaving gel, aftershave cream and moustache cream that are claimed to offer beneficial properties for both hair and skin.
Created in collaboration with agency CP+B Copenhagen, the new shaving range is described as being made with 200ml of freeze-dried Carlsberg beer, with the company asserting that the hops, barley and yeast used to make its pilsner have beauty benefits.
Carlsberg brewmaster Erik Lund commented: “The beer is freeze-dried into a powder, and then mixed with organic ingredients in order to create a unique series of products”.
