Czech beer company Gold of Prague has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with the Korean Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs to build a brewery in Jeonbuk Iksan, South Korea.
Commenting on the proposed facility, Lukas Mikeska, wmanaging director of Gold of Prague, said “We are paying attention to the growth of the beer market in Korea and Northeast Asia”, adding “the beer will be produced according to the traditional Czech brewing method which uses only hops, malt, and water”.
The particular cluster was chosen as “it is strategically well located, which is an advantage for us to enter into the Chinese market”, the company concluded.
Gold of Prague will start to produce Czech-style beer products after the completion of the brewery factory in around late 2016. The company said it was now looking for a Korean firm to manage its distribution and sales.
