South African retailer Checkers, part of the Shoprite group, has expanded its Oh My Goodness! private label range, introducing new ‘healthier’ snack options for children.
The new products, developed by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay and his daughter Matilda, are claimed to be “packed with all of the goodness and none of the junk”.
The new products include bakery snacks such as mini rice cakes priced at 9.99 ZAR ($0.78), available in Apple, Cheese and Chutney varieties, and cookies with 30% less sugar priced at 6.99 ZAR ($0.54) and sold in All Butter, Chocolate Chip and Oat Crunchies varieties.
Among the new drink options are flavoured milks in Strawberry, Banana, and Chocolate flavours priced at 7.99 ZAR ($0.62), and sparkling flavoured drinks launched in Berry, Naartje and Apple varieties with a price of 6.99 ZAR ($0.54) each.
Fruit gums, full cream yoghurt and fruit bars are also among the new product offerings.
Promoted as “perfect for lunchboxes and to enjoy on the go”, the new Oh My Goodness! kids snacks range joins existing ready meals for children under the same brand name.
