Japanese cigarette manufacturing company Japan Tobacco International has opened a new plant in Lodz, Poland, with an estimated investing amount of $200 million.

According to Handel Extra, the new factory will employ up to 400 people, bringing Japan Tobacco International’s total workforce in Poland to 1,500.

The new 70,000 sq m “technologically advanced manufacturing site” will operate to produce tobacco for more than 30 billion cigarettes per year, including cigars and pipe tobacco, with more than 30 processing lines.
