Tasty Pot Co., a New Zealand manufacturer of meals and soups in tubs, has announced the launch of three new variants for the summer season.
Summer Superfood (with quinoa, kale, flax seeds and pomegranate dressing), Mexican Pulled Pork (with wild rice, chilli beans, coriander & chipotle sour cream), and Japanese Teriyaki (with chicken, brown rice, edamame beans and ginger) are said to be joining the rest of the company’s ready meal offering from mid November. The 400g “heat and eat” products are said to be 100% natural and are recommended to be eaten as a meal by themselves, as a BBQ side or else used as a cooking ingredient.
Tasty Pot co-founder Andrew Vivian commented: “Tasty Pot is now the fastest growing brand in the fresh meal & soup category – ten times faster than category average, with our meals growing at +225% (YOY). It’s great to see this space heating up – based on international trends, ready meals should soon be one of the fastest growing segments in NZ grocery”.
The limited editions will be available in supermarkets and speciality stores across New Zealand at an RRP of NZ$6.99 ($5.60).
