Tequila producer Cazcabel Tequila has announced plans to open a new $37 million distillery in Mexico in 2023.
Located in the Jalisco mountains in the Los Altos region, the facility will be run by the Vazquez family, known for producing agave and tequila. The property is claimed to be close to agave fields and near natural springs area with optimum water minerality to produce premium tequila.
According to sources, the plant’s construction has allowed for the conservation of flora and fauna, and the company also plans to plant 300 trees in the area, and install wind turbines and solar panels. The facility will also offer tours and showcase the company’s tequila making history.
The Cazcabel Tequila range includes Tequila Blanco, Cazcabel Coffee, Cazcabel Honey, Cazcabel Coconut and Cazcabel Reposado.
