Japanese alcoholic drinks firm Suntory has released a new beer enriched with collagen as it seeks to take anti-aging benefits into the beer industry.
The new beer, named Suntory Precious, is reportedly aimed primarily at women and is one of many collagen-enhanced beauty-oriented food and drink products to have been launched in Japan in the past few years.
Described as being promoted with the tagline “Guys can tell if a girl is taking collagen or not”, Suntory Precious is said to contain 2 grams of collagen per can. Alcohol content is comparable to that of a regular lager, meanwhile, at 5% abv.
The new launch comes in a gold-coloured can promising a “clear and rich taste” and “special quality and value… for refreshing time”.
