SLN Coffee, an Indian coffee processor, is entering the branded instant coffee space with the launch of the Levista label.
The firm, described as one of the leading exporters of coffee from India, and one of the largest suppliers of roasted and ground coffees in the country, said it aimed to generate 100 crore INR ($15.5 million) revenue from the brand within three years.
“We have been supplying quality green coffee to several international firms”, commented SLN Coffee managing director N Sathappan. “But now, we are entering on our own. Our idea is to capture 5% of market share [in instant coffee] in the next three years and hit a topline of 1,100 crore INR”.
The firm currently operates a soluble coffee plant with capacity of 4,000 metric tonnes, built on a 17 acre complex in Kushalnagar (Coorg).
Levista instant coffee is set to be launched first within Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and then expanded to the whole of India within three years.
