Voelkel, the German fruit juice firm, is launching three new organic fruit syrup products, according to a report in About Drinks.
Newly available on the German market, the latest varieties are Cherry, Ginger & Lemon and Peppermint, joining the existing flavours of Grenadine, Rhubarb, Blackcurrant, Lime, Elderflower and Raspberry. The product is recommended as a drink when diluted with water, but also as an ingredient in cocktails and desserts and as a topping for ice cream, rice pudding and yoghurt.
The cane sugar used in the syrup is said to be sourced from a small farmer cooperative in thje region of Arroyos y Esteros in Paraguay.
Voelkel Organic Fruit Syrups come in 250ml bottles with an RRP of €2.99 ($2.70).
