Kaufland, the Schwarz Group owned German supermarket chain, has announced the launch of a brand called K To Go to target on the go occasions.
Referencing findings from a recent study, the firm said that more than a third of consumers regularly opted for on the go snacks as a workday lunch, and that the K To Go brand would offer increased convenience for time-pressed consumers.
The K To Go lineup includes food options such as wraps, sushi, muesli, salads and sandwiches, as well as drinks such as smoothies and RTD coffee.
Commenting on the brand launch, Kaufland head of private label Stefan Bachmann said: “With K To Go we are enabling our customers to enjoy simple, varied meals in any situation. Whether you’re having a lunch with colleagues, grabbing a quick bite in the car or just need a snack between meals, K To Go offers fresh and delicious option for both short and longer breaks”.
Available from July, the new range comprises a total of 54 items.
