In a new marketing initiative, Aldi Sud has launched the first edition of a new lifestyle magazine for consumers.
Named ‘Aldi Inspiriert’ (Aldi Inspires), it is described as providing information and entertainment for the whole family. It is divided by themes including “delightful living”, “inspired shopping”, “discovering beautiful things” and “well informed”, according to Aldi, and is also described as containing useful ideas and suggestions for everyday living, information on services and a variety of recipes to cook and bake. For children, it contains painting and craft ideas, games and stories.
Available free of charge, the magainze will have around 60 pages, will come out quarterly and will have a circulation of 1.83 million copies.
Handelsblatt notes that a number of German retailers already offer ‘lifestyle’ magazines, including Rewe and Edeka.
