Gama Innovation Award – Packaging
MANCHESTER – 20th November 2015: Secrets De Provence Powder Shampoo, new in France from Bernard Cosmetics, is this month’s recipient of the Gama Innovation Award – Packaging.
Developed with travel in mind, Secrets De Provence Powder Shampoo is a hair washing solution for consumers “wherever they go”. The new launch comes in the form of single-use sachets, sold in a roll inside a dispensing box, allowing consumers to “just take the amount you need” each time. Formulated with oat flour and natural clay, the product is designed to be applied to wet hair to create a lather, before being rinsed out.
“Portable formats and powder-based products are likely to become an increasingly important segment in travel healthcare and beauty products, especially if more stringent luggage restrictions for air travellers come into force”, commented Gama editorial director Tom Warden. “Bernard Cosmetics’ unusual ‘dispensing box’ of single-use sachets offers an interesting solution to the challenge of personal care on the move, and is an idea that could equally be applied to other healthcare categories where conventional liquid formats are perceived as impractical for travel purposes”.
