Leading Danish brewer Carlsberg has announced that the company is investing 1.5 billion UAH ($44 million) in its Ukraine operations in 2023.
In a press release, the company said the investment would be used to install a new production line to increase capacity for canned products.
Oleh Khaidakin, managing director of Carlsberg Ukraine, said: “This line will optimize operations, meet consumer demand for canned products, and increase the manufacture of products in tin cans by 80%”.
The new production line, described as one of Carlsberg’s largest investments in 2023, is being installed in the company’s existing brewery in the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
Carlsberg has been operating in Ukraine since 1996 and over the years has invested over $1 billion in the country.
